ST. PETERSBURG, 25 October (BelTA) – Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Mikhail Myatlikov talked to reporters and informed them about results of a business forum held in St. Petersburg, BelTA has learned.
Mikhail Myatlikov said: “A large delegation of business circles arrived in St. Petersburg. It includes over 40 people representing over 30 enterprises that operate virtually in all branches of the economy. Those are organizations operating in food industry, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, light industry. They offer their products. Taking into account the agreements that have been reached eight documents worth a total of over RUB1 billion have already been announced at the forum.”
He was confident that the sum would increase. “We intend to present our commodity exchange and the tools it has. We will present the Development Bank that supports our deals and export contracts. Speeches will also be made on the access of goods to Russian retail chains, on brand protection. It is a topical matter for our enterprises. Negotiations continue,” the official added.
A Belarusian government delegation led by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is in St. Petersburg. Roman Golovchenko took part in a session of the council for business cooperation between Belarus and St. Petersburg. Visits to industrial facilities and fairs of Belarusian goods in St. Petersburg are also supposed to take place.
Minsk Days are taking place in St. Petersburg on 24-25 October. The program of the event includes a fair of Belarusian enterprises, an exhibition of mechanical engineering products as well as business events and cultural ones.
