MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) - A representative business delegation of Brest Oblast headed by deputy chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Dmitry Gorodetsky paid a visit to Bulgaria on 4-7 September. The visit was organized with the assistance of the Belarusian Embassy, BelTA learned from the diplomatic mission.
The Belarusian delegation took part in the Chirpan 2021 economic forum and made a presentation of Brest Oblast. On the sidelines of the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Union of Entrepreneurs, Employers and Artisans of Brest Oblast and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Stara Zagora. The delegation also held talks with foreign partners to discuss ways to develop cooperation in trade, investment, industry and tourism.
During the visit, the Belarusian delegation visited Plovdiv, Bourgas and Stara Zagora, the major economic centers of Bulgaria, and held talks with the governors of Bourgas, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora regions. The talks focused on ways to promote ties between the regions of the two countries in a wide range of areas, primarily in trade and economy. The parties also agreed to step up interaction in tourism, sport, cultural and youth exchanges.
The Belarusian business delegation toured a number of enterprises of the Plovdiv and Stara Zagora regions with a view to establishing mutually beneficial business cooperation.
The events were also attended by Ambassador of Belarus to Bulgaria Aleksandr Lukashevich, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Bourgas Atanas Popov, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Plovdiv Krasimir Shalev.
