Belarusian buses enter passenger service in Russia's Lipetsk

MOSCOW, 31 January (BelTA) – Nine Belarus-made MAZ-103 buses were delivered to Russia's Lipetsk at the end of January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

The vehicles were transferred to the Lipetsk passenger transport company. Lipetsk Mayor Sergei Ivanov attended an official key handover ceremony. Before placing the order with the Minsk bus manufacturer, Lipetsk transportation experts tested buses on the busiest routes connecting different areas of the regional center.

“Belarusian passenger vehicles are well known in the transportation sector for their high quality,” the embassy noted. “The Belarusian buses have 26 seats, with a total capacity at 102 passengers. They comply with the Euro 5 environmental standard and are wheelchair accessible.”
