Belarusian Bellesbumprom's exports up 14.7% in January-February 2021

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – The companies affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom increased exports by 14.7% in January-February 2021 as against the same months in 2020, BelTA learned from Bellesbumprom's press service.

Exports in the first two months of the year rose by 14.7%, or $14.4 million to $112 million. In January-February 2020, exports went up 11.2% as against the same months a year ago.

This year, Bellesbumprom's enterprises continue to steadily increase shipments to non-CIS countries, where they exported 23.8% more products than during the same period in 2020. Shipments to neighboring countries increased by almost 6%.

Bellesbumprom's main trading partners are traditionally consumers from Russia, where Belarus exported $36 million worth of products (up 22%), Poland ($17.9 million, up 11.8%), and China ($13.9 million, up 71.7%). Bellesbumprom exports goods to 53 countries. Among them are India, Egypt, UAE, USA, Canada, Sri Lanka and others.

Bellesbumprom exported 76.2% of its output.
