Belarusian Bellesbumprom's exports to Bashkortostan up 27% in January-October 2021

MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – The export of the enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom rose 27% in January-October 2021, BelTA learned from the press service of the concern.

“The enterprises of Bellesbumprom plan to develop trade and economic cooperation with partners from Bashkortostan. This year the Bellesbumprom enterprises have started to increase the supplies of woodworking products and pulp and paper products to Bashkortostan. In January-October 2021 the export to this Russian region increased by more than 27% to exceed $1.9 million,” the press service said.

The major goods supplied are products of wood deep processing - furniture worth more than $1.6 million. Among the supplies are also wood-fiber boards, paper, cardboard, containers and other types of wood products.

This year Belarus has started selling wallpaper to Bashkortostan. The Belarusian Wallpaper Holding Company has signed a long-term contract with a company from Ufa to supply various assortments of wallpaper products. The company is confident that this cooperation will develop and gain momentum. Customers from the Russian region are fully satisfied with the quality of Belarusian wallpaper, price and variety of designs.

The sales of wood boards soared 3.5 times (in comparison with the same period last year), paper and cardboard - 2.6 times, furniture - 1.2 times.
