MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ signed agreements to deliver 128 haul trucks with the carrying capacity from 55 to 220 tonnes worth a total of over $260 million at the Ugol Rossii & Mining expo in Russia's Kemerovo Oblast. Taking part in the expo were BelAZ, the BelAZ trading house, and BelAZ's official representative in the region – BelAZ-24 Company, BelTA learned from BelAZ's press service.
These agreements were signed after important negotiations with such Russian companies as Mezhdurechie (Sibuglemet Holding), Uchastok Koksovy (Industrial Metallurgical Holding), Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya-Koksovaya), and GILK.
BelAZ also signed an agreement with the TECHNOECO company to deliver components for equipping haul trucks with gas-diesel engines and to provide maintenance services.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's leading manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world's largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
