Belarusian BelAZ interested in developing cooperation with Russia’s Tatarstan

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) - A delegation from Russia’s Tatarstan headed by Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council, visited the Belarusian automaker BelAZ in order to discuss ways of expanding partnerships in mechanical engineering on 3 February, BelTA has learned from the enterprise's press service.

“BelAZ and the industrial enterprises of Tatarstan have many years of close productive relations and mutual interests. It was highlighted during the business visit of the parliamentary delegation. Discussing the areas of interaction, the parties stressed their mutual interest in developing the joint projects and establishing new business ties,” the enterprise noted.

BelAZ Deputy Director General Oleg Klimovich and Zhodino Mayor Dmitry Zablotsky welcomed the Tatarstan parliamentary delegation and briefed then on the BelAZ history and production facilities, the assembly process and the product line-up. The guests were interested in the production modernization, innovative developments and geography of mining equipment supplies.

The representatives of the State Council of Tatarstan were deeply impressed by BelAZ dump truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes, the most powerful rock hauler in the world. “The size of the mining equipment produced by the plant and the production scale are amazing,” Farid Mukhametshin said after visiting the exhibition and the assembly shop for the ultra heavy-duty vehicles.
