MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian heavy vehicles manufacturer BelAZ increased the volumes of production, sales, and export in January-February 2021, the company's press service told BelTA.
Some of the enterprises belonging to the holding company BelAZ demonstrated output growth in January-February 2021. Thus, the output growth rate in effective prices as against the same period of last year totaled 103.7% at Zavod PAK, 139.9% at SPK Pervomaisky, and 147.3% at OAO Crane Plant. The parent enterprise in Zhodino demonstrated the largest output growth rate – 149.1%.
OAO BelAZ (the automobile plant BelAZ and its branches) also demonstrated a considerable increase in sales (163%) and export (187.3%). The company exported 97.2% of the output. Most of the vehicles (BelAZ and MoAZ brands) and spare parts were shipped to Russia – 82% of the total volume of shipments, with the growth rate as against the same period of last year at 375.1%. In January-February 2021 the company also shipped haul trucks to Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The top-selling products are BelAZ trucks with the carrying capacity of 220-240 tonnes (32%). The top three products also include 110-130 tonne trucks (20%) and 55-60 tonne trucks (18%). The average carrying capacity of trucks sold since the beginning of the year stands at 122 tonnes. In March the company intends to further increase the volume of sales and expand the list of non-CIS destinations with India, Poland, and Chile.
On the whole, the holding company BelAZ finished the first two months of the year with growing output (112.8% as against the same period of last year in effective prices), sales (146.7%), and export (186.7%).
