MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – A delegation from Buryatia, Russia led by head of Buryatia Aleksei Tsydenov toured the Amkodor machinery producer within the framework of a working visit to Belarus, BelTA learned from the company.
The delegation visited Amkodor's permanent exhibition to get familiar with the machinery lineup. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the company and Buryatia. At the end of the meeting Aleksei Tsydenov left an entry in the book of distinguished guests of Amkodor.
"The visit of Aleksei Tsydenov to Amkodor became an important step towards strengthening economic ties between Buryatia and Amkodor," the company stressed.
As it was reported, trade between Belarus and Buryatia had grown six times over the past five years. In January-June 2024, trade between Belarus and Buryatia went up by 34% year-on-year. Exports of goods from Belarus to Buryatia increased by 29% year-on-year. Belarus exported 98 commodity items to Buryatia with the largest share of machine-building and agricultural products. In turn, Buryatia supplied Belarus with 23 commodity items.
