MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe and the Republic of Zambia (non-resident) Igor Marshalov has presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties agreed that Belarus and Zambia need to intensify cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. The ambassador spoke in detail about Belarus’ competencies in agriculture, industry, healthcare, education, and emergency prevention and response.
Hakainde Hichilema said that Zambia is interested in Belarus' participation in the mechanization of its agricultural sector, as well as the creation and renovation of infrastructure, and the extraction of natural resources.
