Belarus' vice premier on working visit to Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast

MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Nazarov has gone on a working visit to Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian government's press service.

“The program of the two-day visit to Sverdlovsk Oblast will include talks with the governor, participation in the fifth meeting of the Business Cooperation Council, and the signing of a number of contracts between the Belarusian and Russian companies,” the press service said.

Plans are also in place to discuss prospects for cooperation in industry (supplies of agricultural, passenger, road-building and municipal machinery, elevator equipment), agriculture (supplies of food and agricultural products), energy, construction, housing and utilities sectors.

In 2021, the trade between Belarus and Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast amounted to $494.9 million (125.5% by 2020). In January-February 2022, the trade rose by 48.4% to $88.5 million compared with the same period of the previous year.
