Belarus, Uzbekistan consider canceling permit system in international road freight transport

MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) - Belarus and Uzbekistan are considering canceling the permit system in International road freight transport. This matter was discussed during a meeting of the Belarusian-Uzbek mixed commission on international road transport, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus.

"The parties agreed to work on the abolition of the permit system in international road transport of goods," the press service said.

Belarus and Uzbekistan also discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in the transport sector, and determined the number of permits for international transportation for 2022-2023. Uzbekistan has agreed to allocate additional permits for Belarusian carriers: 6,000 bilateral and transit and 4,000 to/from third countries.
