Last week a group of Belarus’ leading experts in the field of digital development led by Deputy Communications and Informatization Minister Yulia Shapkina visited Dubai upon the invitation from the Emirati side. The purpose of the visit was to study the experience of digital transformation and identify possible directions of joint projects.
As part of the work to sum up results a high-level meeting took place with a team led by Abdulla Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange.
The parties confirmed the readiness to develop joint projects in the sphere of digital development and also agreed to share best practices and methods of introducing cutting-edge IT solutions – not only from the point of view of technology but from the point of view of enabling conditions for such solutions to be successful for users. Apart from that, Belarus and the UAE will prepare a memorandum of cooperation in digital education and cyber security and will consider joint projects aimed at enabling comfortable digital conditions for citizens and at efficient operation of the economy.
Colleagues from both countries confirmed the readiness to expand practical cooperation and reinforce digital partnership.
