Belarus, Türkiye to share experience in public-private partnership

MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) - The National Agency of Investment and Privatization (NAIP) of Belarus and the Istanbul PPPCoE (Public-Private Partnership Center of Excellence) have signed a memorandum on extending cooperation, BelTA learned the NAIP.

The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the 9th Istanbul PPP Week. This year’s theme is “PPP: More with Less”. The purpose of such cooperation is to exchange experience and mutual participation in events.

The Istanbul PPP Week is an annual event, which is running from 24 to 27 February this year. It is organized by the Istanbul PPP Centre of Excellence and the International Economic Relations Board of Turkiye (DEIK) with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Trade. The event is attended by representatives of private businesses with experience in implementing PPP projects, international financial institutions and consulting companies, representatives of PPP centers, including the NAIP PPP Center, and also experts from more than 50 countries.

The professional and expert community discusses the best legislative practices and ways to reduce the risk of disputes in public-private partnership, economic viability of projects, small-scale PPP projects aimed at meeting local needs. Visits are planned to facilities set up as a result of public-private partnership projects.
