Belarus to take part in Rebuild Syria expo

MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) - Belarus will present its exposition at an expo in Syria in September 2022, BelTA learned from Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Belarus is set to take part in the 7th international exhibition Rebuild Syria, which is due to take place in Damascus on 28 September-2 October. “The exposition will feature export-oriented Belarusian companies. They will display products necessary for the reconstruction of the Syrian economy, including novelties. Damascus will be visited by a business delegation from Belarus comprising company managers, representatives of the country's ministries and agencies,” the company said.

As of the business program Belarusian representatives are set to visit industrial zones, production and trade facilities of the region, hold meetings with representatives of state authorities and business circles, attend B2B negotiations. These and other events will significantly improve the efficiency of the business trip. Applications from interested companies are open through 20 August.

Syria is in desperate need of rebuilding its industry, agriculture, services, transportation infrastructure, water and electricity supply systems, petrochemical industry, and telecommunications. In this regard, Syria needs engineering solutions, agricultural and construction equipment, software, medical equipment, medications, food (milk powder, whey, potatoes), and many more.

The Belarusian exposition at the 7th Rebuild Syria international exhibition in Damascus is organized by the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exposition will be held with the support and active participation of the Belarusian Embassy in Syria.
