MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Belarus will take part in the Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair 2021, which will open in Serbia on 18 September, BelTA learned from the website of the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to the company, in Novi Sad 15 Belarusian enterprises will showcase chemical products, plant protection agents, farm machines, tires, dairy products and chicken eggs. Thus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will show a number of developments in the field of biotechnology and agriculture. In particular, the Institute of Microbiology and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry will demonstrate a number of drugs to protect and stimulate plant growth. The Research and Production Center for Animal Husbandry will exhibit biosimilars of human lactoferrin used to make medical, food and other products.
The Research and Production Center for Agricultural Mechanization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will offer Serbian farmers a semi-row harvester for cropping berries of aronia, black currant, gooseberry and rose hips. This harvester is 30% cheaper thank its analogues.
Gomselmash, one of the leaders of the international market of agricultural machines, will display Palesse grain and forage harvesters. Belshina will bring tires for dump trucks, tractors and farm machines, cars.
Mineral Wax Plant will present paraffins and wax (paraffin emulsions, model compositions) and auxiliary products (lubricants, oils, lubricating and cooling technological means). Lakokraska and Mogilevkhimvolokno will showcase a wide range of chemical products.
"The high quality of Belarusian food products is well known in Serbia. Soligorsk Poultry Farm will bring Molodetskie chicken and quail eggs smoked on birch and alder sawdust with mustard, black pepper, garlic and turmeric. The company has developed and patented the production technology for these goods which have won a number of awards at prestigious international competitions. Molochny Mir dairy will showcase sterilized milk, cream, rennet and soft cheeses, butter,” Belinterexpo said.
In the open-air exhibition grounds the Serbian representative of the Belarusian companies, Belarus-Agropanonka, will display several dozen samples of equipment produced by Minsk Tractor Works and Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units. The company plans to hold a lottery among visitors - the winner will get Belarus 82.1 tractor.
The program of the exhibition will also include a presentation of the industrial potential of Belarus. The event will take place in the congress hall of the exhibition center at 14.00 on 18 September. Attending the event will be Belarusian Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik, Belarus' Honorary Consul in Novi Sad Dragoljub Svonja.
The 88th International Agricultural Fair Novi Sad is the largest exhibition in the region and one of the most prestigious and largest exhibitions in Europe. In 2019 the exhibition brought together 1,500 companies from 61 countries. The number of visitors exceeded 140,000 people.
“There will be nine national expositions in 2021. Apart from Belarus, the exhibition will host pavilions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, and the Czech Republic, which also acts as a partner country. More than 600 companies from several dozen countries will take part in the event. Tens of thousands of specialists from different regions of Europe and Asia are expected to attend the event. To ensure the safety of the event, all visitors will be required to make rapid COVID-19 tests before entering the exhibition. The event will also play host to two more exhibitions - the 53rd International Exhibition of Hunting and Fishing and the Ecology Fair, Belinterexpo said.
