Belarus to take part in Musiad Expo 2022 in Turkiye

MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – Belarus will present its national exposition at the exhibition in Turkiye, BelTA learned from the Belarusian National Center for Marketing.

Belarusian producers of food products (dairy, confectionary, alcoholic and non-alcoholic products) expressed their readiness to participate in the Musiad Expo 2022 in Turkiye. “Although Turkiye is proud of its traditions and culture, the country's residents are expanding their tastes and embracing an international lifestyle, which inevitably leads to increased food imports from around the world. In order to enter a new market, Belarus as an exporter needs to assess the potential volume of supply, the dynamics of imports of the respective products of the country as a whole, the main competitor countries, the established customs duties and other protective measures applied to imported products,” the center said.

At the international exhibition Musiad Expo 2022, in addition to the Belarusian national exposition, the National Center for Marketing will hold a business mission to Istanbul. As part of the business trip, business representatives will be able to visit the exhibition area, establish contacts with Turkish partners and visit the leading enterprises of the industry of interest. There will also be an opportunity to hold B2B negotiations dedicated to Belarus.

Turkiye annually imports about $5 billion worth of food and beverages, especially foreign delicacies and products with no local equivalents. As the largest food producer in the Middle East and the seventh largest in the world, the Turkish food and beverage industry is constantly looking for quality food ingredients.
