Belarus to supply more tractors to Moldova in 2013


CHISINAU, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarus plans to supply Moldova with nearly 20 energy-intensive tractors Belarus to Moldova in 2013. Tractor models are displayed at the 23rd autumn international specialized exhibition of machinery, equipment and technologies for the agricultural sector Moldagrotech which opened in Chisinau on 24 October, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Moldova.

The Minsk Tractor Works jointly with its commodity-distribution network in Moldova, a joint venture Trading House MTZ Lider featured a wide lineup of Belarus agricultural tractors at the Moldagrotekh expo.

MTZ displayed high-performance models of energy-intensive tractors Belarus-2022, Belarus-3022DC.1 and Belarus-3522.5. According to the specialists, in 2013 Moldova’s needs in energy-intensive tractors Belarus will make up 20 vehicles which are to be supplied through the Trading House MTZ Lider.

The Belarus tractor fleet in Moldova is more than 30,000 units (more than 90% of the tractor fleet of Moldova). Some 600-800 units are supplied to Moldova annually. Belarus tractors are shipped as part of the Moldovan-Japanese 2KR project. In October this year, following the international tender, the Belarusian producer supplied Moldova with 58 Belarus-82.1 tractors.

Moldagrotech presents Belarus-921, a tractor designed for use in gardens and vineyards. It is assembled in Moldova by Agrofermotech jointly with theSmorgon Aggregates Plant. Fifty tractors are planned to be assembled this year.

A delegation of Bobruiskagromash, one of the CIS largest producers of agricultural machinery, will also attend the expo and hold talks with Moldovan partners regarding the supply of agricultural machinery.

This year Moldagrotech has brought together more than 120 companies from 14 countries: Moldova, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The expo is running from 24 October to 27 October at the Moldexpo international expo center in Chisinau.
