Belarus, Tanzania to set up joint committee on trade, economic cooperation

MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Tanzania will set up a joint committee on trade and economic cooperation. The move is stipulated by the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.387 of 18 July 2025 that has been officially published by the national legal information registry, BelTA has learned.

The government has approved a draft agreement between the Belarusian government and the government of the United Republic of Tanzania on setting up a joint committee on trade and economic cooperation as the foundation for conducting negotiations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft agreement and may introduce minor amendments to the document if necessary. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also been authorized to sign the agreement if the parties come to terms within limits of the approved draft.

The Council of Ministers resolution came into force as of the date it was passed.
