Belarus takes part in Novi Sad Agricultural Fair 2021 in Serbia

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) - Belarus has presented its national pavilion at the Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair in Serbia, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Belarus has become the largest foreign participant of the exhibition, with products of more than 30 companies on display. Among the exhibitors are well-known Belarusian brands, such as Soligorsk Poultry Factory (chicken and quail eggs), Molochny Mir (rennet and soft cheeses, sterilized milk, butter and cream), Belshina, Mogilevkhimvolokno, Lakokraska and Mining Wax Plant (novelties of chemical and petrochemical industries - tires for tractors, agricultural machines and dump trucks, polyester fibers, paint materials, paraffins, waxes, lubricants and coolants technological means).

A number of innovative developments, including biotechnological solutions for the agro-industrial complex, are demonstrated by institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Preparations for protection and stimulation of plant growth are presented by the Institute of Microbiology and the Institute of General and Bioorganic Chemistry. A human lactoferrin biosimilar used in medicine, pharmaceutics, cosmetology and food industry is on display by the Scientific and Production Center for Animal Husbandry.

A novelty - a semi-row harvester to crop chokeberry, black currant, gooseberry and rosehip – has been brought to the attention of Serbian farmers by the Scientific and Production Center for Agricultural Mechanization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The Gomselmash enterprise, one of the leaders in the world market of complex agricultural machinery, is demonstrating the capabilities of grain and forage harvesters Palesse. Samples of equipment manufactured by Minsk Tractor Works, Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units and other manufacturers of agricultural machinery are presented in the open area of the exhibition by Belarus-Agropanonka joint venture.

The events were attended by a representative delegation from Belarus, including Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik, and heads of Belarusian exporting companies.

The exhibition showcased the industrial potential of Belarus. A memorandum of understanding was signed between Belkommunmash and the Serbian company Tekhnograd to establish an assembly facility for electric buses. A number of meetings and consultations took place on the sidelines of the exhibition.

Belarusian companies held negotiations with several dozens of representatives of regional businesses and discussed cooperation in a number of areas. In particular, Serbian farmers expressed interest in purchasing self-propelled apple harvesting machines produced by the Scientific and Research Center for Agricultural Mechanization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The exposition of the Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus has been organized by the exhibition company Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event is supported by the Embassy of Belarus in Serbia and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair 2021 is the largest exhibition of Southeastern Europe. More than 600 companies are taking part in this year's exhibition. National pavilions have been presented by nine countries: Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and Spain. The exhibition will run through 24 September.
