MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian exhibition stand was showcased at the 22nd International Cultural Festival of Peking University (PKU), BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
The Belarusian stand attracted attention with its tasting area offering national sweets and drinks, interactive games, souvenirs designed by Belarusian students inspired by national traditions, as well as a linguistic corner. Atteding the event was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People’s Republic of China Aleksandr Chervyakov.
Guests enjoyed getting acquainted with the Belarusian language and learned to pronounce several words in Belarusian: “прывітанне” (hello), “дзякуй” (thank you), and “да пабачэння” (goodbye). Festival participants discovered the beauty and richness of the Belarusian language.
Young people from more than 30 countries took to the stage to showcase the diversity of their ethnic traditions through dances, songs, martial arts, and traditional music. The fair featured 51 exhibition stands from 47 countries, including Belarus. International students enthusiastically introduced visitors to their folk customs, traditional crafts, and cultural symbols.
