Belarus, Tajikistan sign agreement on mutual trade promotion system

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) - Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Vladimir Orlovsky and head of the Tajikistan Customs Service Khurshed Karimzoda signed an agreement on a system to promote mutual trade between the two countries during an official visit of the Belarusian delegation led by the Belarusian president to Tajikistan, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Customs Committee.

“The agreement aims to improve the contractual and legal framework for bilateral cooperation in the customs sector, and its norms are designed to develop and accelerate the trade between Belarus and Tajikistan. The document is also aimed at improving the quality of customs administration through the exchange of reliable information on the movement of goods and vehicles in the system to promote mutual trade,” the State Customs Committee said.

The implementation of the document's provisions will facilitate international trade, create favorable conditions for participants of foreign economic activities, and increase competitiveness of economic entities.
