MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt and concurrently to Sudan Sergei Terentiev met with acting Minister of Energy and Oil Mohammed Abdullah Mahmoud of Sudan in Khartoum on 22 November 2022, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting took place as part of the ambassador's trip to Khartoum to participate in the transfer of Belarusian humanitarian aid to Sudan.
The parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, with an emphasis on preparations for the fifth meeting of the joint Belarusian-Sudanese commission on cooperation. Consideration was given to the ways of building up Belarusian-Sudanese cooperation in energy and agriculture, between the chambers of commerce and business associations.
The Sudanese side expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Republic of Belarus.
