Belarus, St. Petersburg sign documents on cooperation

ST. PETERSBURG, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarus and St. Petersburg have signed a number of documents following a meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Belarus and St. Petersburg on 25 October, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov signed the minutes of the 14th meeting of the Business Cooperation Council. "We had an engaged discussion today. We saw the desire of all the participants to address practical issues. We have slightly adjusted the targets and strengthened the support of decisions on certain issues so that we could more quickly achieve the results that interest both sides. I thank the governor and members of the city government for the good preparation of this event, their commitment to cooperation and the warm welcome. We will try to further maintain the same high level of partnership and interaction. Thank you. The work does not end today. It is just the beginning of its new, even more responsible stage," Roman Golovchenko said.
The parties signed memorandums on cooperation as part of the programs to upgrade St. Petersburg's transport system and supply utility vehicles for city's housing and utilities services. The prime minister noted that Belarus is ready to offer St. Petersburg new models of passenger and utility vehicles.

The Belarusian Cement Company has signed cooperation agreements with the Russian Concern Titan-2 and Beaton company.

A cooperation agreement was concluded between the Main Sport and Tourism Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Physical Education and Sport Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg.

Other documents include a roadmap 2024-2026 to the agreement on cooperation between the administration of Frunzensky District of Minsk and the administration of Kurortny District of St. Petersburg, and also a roadmap 2025-2026 to the agreement on cooperation in science, technology, culture, social matters and other fields between the administration of Leninsky District of Minsk and the administration of Kalininsky District of St. Petersburg.

A memorandum of creative cooperation was inked by the Bryantsev Youth Theatre (St Petersburg) and the Belarusian State Youth Theater.
