Belarus-South Africa trade discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – The National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has hosted a discussion on trade with South Africa, BelTA learned from the center.

Taking part in the discussion was Counsellor of the Belarus Office of the South African Embassy Douw Vermaak. The diplomat noted: “The distance between the countries, of course, matters, but it is not an obstacle to mutually beneficial cooperation if there is mutual interest.”

During the meeting, the South African diplomat was told how the National Center for Marketing and Price Study can help the diplomatic mission revitalize business contacts and consequently step up bilateral trade.

According to Douw Vermaak, the visit to the Belagro exhibition and a number of meetings helped build a better understanding of cooperation prospects between South Africa and Belarus.

The press service of the center reminded that on 14 June the National Center for Marketing and Price Study jointly with the Belarusian embassies in South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria and Kenya will make a presentation of business opportunities in Africa. More than 150 domestic manufacturers have already confirmed their participation in the webinar.
