Belarus signs long-term oil supply contract with Azerbaijan's SOCAR

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA)- The Belarusian Oil Company and SOCAR Trading, a subsidiary of State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), have signed a long-term contract to supply raw materials to Belarusian refineries, TASS reported citing the Baku Report agency.

The contract has been signed for one year with the possibility of further extension. SOCAR Trading will supply Belarus with both oil from Azerbaijan and, potentially, from other sources. The volume of deliveries under the new contract is not disclosed.

In 2020, SOCAR Trading supplied the Belarusian Oil Company with about 1 million tonnes of oil. SOCAR supplied oil through the port of Odessa and further through the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline to the Mozyr refinery.
