MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – The first exchange contract for the supply of beef by‑products to Kyrgyzstan has been concluded on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), BelTA learned from the BUCE press service.

The seller was a meat‑processing enterprise from Minsk Oblast, and the buyer – a Kyrgyz food importer accredited on BUCE in June 2025. As a result, the geography of exports of Belarusian meat products through the exchange has expanded to six countries. Russia, Uzbekistan, and China were the largest buyers in January-July 2025.

“In January-July this year, meat products accounted for 22% of all agricultural exports through the exchange platform, totaling $153 million, which was 11 times more year-on-year. Frozen and chilled semi‑finished beef products made up over 80% of total export shipments. In addition, by‑products, animal fats, and endocrine‑enzyme raw materials are actively sold abroad through the exchange. Demand for Belarusian meat products remains high: whereas two years ago the Russian Federation was virtually the only buyer, today companies from Uzbekistan, China, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan regularly participate in exchange trades,” the press service said.

As of today, BUCE accredited 37 companies from Kyrgyzstan. In January-July 2025, they concluded exchange deals worth $5.5 million, up by 32% year-on-year. Kyrgyz participants have mainly purchased Belarusian dry milk, butter, and sawn timber at the exchange.

Founded in 2004, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange conducted its first trading session in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest commodity exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its main function is to assist Belarusian enterprises with export and foreign companies with entering the Belarusian market. BUCE sells a wide range of metal, forestry and agricultural products, industrial and consumer goods.
