
MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarus presented its tourism potential at the 5th National Hospitality Festival “Friendship of Peoples” in Moscow on 4 July, the National Tourism Agency of Belarus told BelTA.
The festival is being held at VDNKh and has become the largest in its history. The rich business program includes a panel session titled “Beyond the Display: How Museums Become Living Mediators”, a roundtable discussion, and a themed runway show “Fashion, Culture, Tourism: New Partners and Current Formats of Cooperation”, all aimed at fostering cross-sector cooperation.
Particular attention was drawn to the panel discussion “MICE Tourism: A Look into the Future”. Irina Voronovich, Director of the Tourism Department of the Sports and Tourism Ministry of Belarus, addressed the participants. The main goal of the discussion was to identify key directions to develop business tourism and creative industries within the exhibition and fair sector and to explore comprehensive support for international events using the VDNKh EXPO as a case study.
The discussion focused on the role and influence of the international MICE industry consortium in today’s exhibition landscape, the challenges facing the exhibition sector in the context of international integration, mechanisms for training specialists, and the potential for joint project initiatives in event organization.
