MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - Head of the Exhibition Activities Department Valeria Shatilova revealed what Belarusian enterprises are presenting at the exhibition in Azerbaijan, BelTA has learned.
The international construction exhibition BakuBuild has opened in the capital of Azerbaijan and will run until 16 October. Polotsk-Steklovolokno, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), Bellesexport and Belarusian Metallurgical Company are actively participating in it.
The Belarusian stand was visited by an official delegation that included Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich and Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Orkhan Vidadi oglu Mammadov.
“The main focus of Belarus-Azerbaijan exchange trade is the export of Belarusian timber. However, there has been positive growth in the exchange sales of skimmed milk powder, butter, and meat products to the Azerbaijani market. Belarus is also interested in purchasing fruit (including purees and juice concentrates), cotton fiber, raw calico, aluminum tape, and bentonite powder through the commodity exchange,” Valeria Shatilova noted.
Polotsk-Steklovolokno presented a range of its products at the exhibition, including fiberglass fabrics, glass and composite meshes, nonwoven materials, roll fiberglass, and non-combustible membranes. Visitors showed particular interest in facade reinforcement meshes for insulation systems and fire-resistant membranes for ventilated facades. Business negotiations were held with both existing buyers and new companies.
Belarus’ participation in the exhibition highlights the mutual interest in strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries and opens up new opportunities for business.
