MINSK, 7 January (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin signed a Council of Ministers resolution on the construction of residential buildings and related engineering and transport infrastructure facilities in 2026, BelTA learned from the government’s press service.
The document establishes targets for various housing categories. These include the construction of 238,300 square meters of state-supported housing, 407,400 square meters of state-ordered housing, and 650,000 square meters of rental housing. It also sets a goal to build 315,000 square meters of housing where electrical energy is used for heating, hot water supply, and cooking. The plan includes providing housing for 5,930 large families, in accordance with directives ensuring their referral for housing improvement within one year of being registered as in need. An additional target is the construction of 22,900 square meters of social housing units.
