MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Romania Andrei Grinkevich has met with Romania's Minister of the Environment, Waters and Forests Costel Аlехе to discuss a possibility to increase supplies of Belarusian wood products to Romania, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed Belarus-Romania cooperation in protection and use of natural resources, including the exchange of best practices in fire protection and reforestation, fur farming, seed farming. They also talked about plans to launch advanced training courses for Romanian specialists at the National Center for Ecological Expertise under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus,” the ministry informed.
Top on the agenda were also plans to increase the supplies of products made by the Belarusian forestry and woodworking industries, as well as Amkodor forest and logging machines to the Romanian market. The parties noted that joint projects in the hunting sector hold a lot of promise.
