MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in supplying dairy products, poultry meat and eggs to the Nigerian market. This matter was discussed at the meeting between Belarus' First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Belarus (non-resident) Abdullahi Shehu Yibaikwal, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
“The parties discussed the state and prospects of trade and economic relations in agriculture, plans to increase food supplies and agreed to establish a joint working group for agriculture. Belarus would like to ship dairy products, poultry meat and eggs to the Nigerian market,” the press service said.
The parties welcomed successful cooperation in the field of agricultural education. At present, 63 citizens of Nigeria study at Belarusian agricultural universities.
