MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian Industry Ministry and the government of Sakhalin Oblast are stepping up cooperation, spokesman for the Industry Ministry Oleg Slepchenko told BelTA.
A delegation of Sakhalin Oblast headed by chairman of the government of the Russian region Aleksei Belik is in Belarus on a visit. The delegation already held a working meeting with First Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Ogorodnikov.
The parties discussed the ways of expanding bilateral cooperation, stepping up trade and increasing shipments of rock haulers, cargo, utility and passenger vehicles to Sakhalin Oblast.
Aleksandr Ogorodnikov expressed confidence that the meeting will contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial ties and that the agreements reached will give a new impetus to cooperation between Belarus and Sakhalin Oblast of Russia.
