Belarus, Russia's Orenburg Oblast to expand cooperation in construction sector

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Deputy Architecture and Construction Minister Oleg Shvets met with a delegation of Orenburg Oblast headed by Director General of AO Orenburg Minerals Andrei Golm in Minsk on 13 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Architecture and Construction Ministry.

“For several years, the Architecture and Construction Ministry has been working closely with Russian partners in the field of building materials production. Today we see positive results, which allow us to get quality and competitive products and, most importantly, use them them construction projects in the two countries," said Oleg Shvets.

The deputy minister urged to move forward, using the best practices of Belarus and Russia in the production of building materials, and expand the map of cooperation.

For his part, Andrei Golm noted the importance of the accomplished work, welcomed mutually beneficial results and proposed to expand cooperation into new areas. As an example, he cited a new product of plastics recycling, the so-called light concrete, which is used to produce siding, board, pipes and other materials. Andrei Golm confirmed his interest in manufacturing such product at Belarusian enterprises and finding partners in Belarus.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to explore new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation and to start working on them in the near future.
