Belarus, Russia sign action plan to improve motorways

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Heads of government agencies in charge of transport in Belarus and Russia have signed a scheme of automobile roads of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and an action plan to improve the roads. The documents were signed during the annual international transportation and logistics forum Transport Week 2019 in Moscow, the press service of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry told BelTA.

Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko visited the 13th international expo Transport of Russia and had a number of meetings with Russian colleagues. Close attention was paid to preparing a roadmap on unifying transport market regulations and integration within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The strategic and friendly nature of Belarus-Russia cooperation in transportation was noted.

The Transport Week forum in Moscow offers a venue for discussing matters of development of the transport and logistics industry. The forum is supposed to attract innovations, raise investments, and increase the volume of international transportation.
