MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have reconciled the bulk of the issues concerning agrarian policy, representatives of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA after Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Anatoly Khotko met with Russian Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev.
The sides discussed topical aspects of cooperation in agribusiness and prospects of further advancement of bilateral relations. The current state of affairs in reconciling the roadmaps on tighter integration within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia was discussed. According to the source, the ministries are working together to form a common agrarian policy. Most of the items have already been reconciled.
Projections concerning Belarus-Russia trade in agricultural products in 2020 were also on the agenda. These trade balance sheets still represent the main tool for regulating the agrarian market of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. This is why it was noted the documents need to be reconciled soon.
