Belarus ready to share best competences, sell vehicles, equipment to Kingdom of Eswatini

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to share the best competences and supply vehicles, machines, and equipment to the Kingdom of Eswatini. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko made the statement as he met with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini Russell Dlamini, BelTA has learned.

Belarus is an industrially developed state, Roman Golovchenko noted. “The manufacturing sector accounts for a significant part of our gross domestic product and our export potential. Products of the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry are well represented in such African countries as South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria and particularly in Zimbabwe where we implement multiple programs for mechanizing the agriculture. We have a Belarusian-Zimbabwean program for mechanizing that country’s agriculture. Two phases have already been implemented. We’ve begun the third phase now. As a result of this work in 2022 Zimbabwe became self-reliant on cereals for the first time in 50 years,” the prime minister of Belarus mentioned a successful example of cooperation.

Roman Golovchenko explained that Belarus is also interested in advancing bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Eswatini to a solid track. Primarily cooperation in trade and economic cooperation. Both countries could benefit from it as a result.

“The Republic of Belarus also has well-developed agriculture in addition to the manufacturing sector. We meet the domestic demand for virtually 100% of food products with our own output and export about $8 billion worth of food,” the Belarusian head of government said.
