MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to sell a large choice of various machines, equipment, and vehicles to Bryansk Oblast. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Leonid Zayats mentioned it as he met with Governor of Russia’s Bryansk Oblast Alexander Bogomaz, BelTA has learned.
Belarus-Russia interaction relies on interregional cooperation these days, Leonid Zayats noted. “Very strong ties between Belarus and regions of Russia have been established at the level of the president and the government. It produces rather good dividends,” he said. “Since cooperation with Bryansk Oblast began, we’ve managed to secure positions in, for instance, manufacturing sector. We’ve set up an assembly enterprise with the relevant business profile. We also work quite well in civil engineering. I’ve heard a lot about the construction of automobile roads. We tightly cooperate in product deliveries.”
Leonid Zayats added that there are plans to add products made by the joint venture Amkodor-Bryansk to the list of goods, which are eligible for subsidies within the framework of the government program on developing agriculture and regulating the Bryansk Oblast markets of agricultural goods, raw materials, and foods. “We will pursue a flexible policy with regard to sales of our tractors. We suggest considering opportunities for increasing sales of trucks and passenger vehicles, in particular, buses powered by gas engine fuel, trolleybuses of Belarusian make. Belarus is also ready to flexibly interact with municipal and private companies to renew the fleet of such vehicles,” the deputy prime minister said.
Apart from that, Belarus is ready to make and provide the Russian region with fire trucks, emergency response and rescue equipment, and vehicles for medical purposes.
