NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Belarus in the State of Qatar Aleksei Malafei met with Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry, the co-chairman of the Belarusian-Qatari joint cooperation committee Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani on 2 October 2022, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed ways of developing bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investment and other avenues and holding the next meeting of the joint cooperation committee.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the State of Qatar were established on 16 January 1996. In 2001-2008 and 2010-2018, Belarus' Ambassadors to the UAE worked in Qatar on a concurrent basis.
Belarus opened its embassy in Qatar in June 2014. Since November 2019, the Qatari Embassy in Minsk has been operating at the level of the chargé d'affaires.
