
MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – The Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Guangzhou in association with SZAO Industrial Park Development Company has held a series of meetings and events in the Chinese cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, and Zhuhai, including negotiations with potential investors, representatives of Belarus’ Consulate General in Guangzhou told BelTA.
The events took place as part of a roadshow designed to promote the investment potential of the Republic of Belarus and of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The Belarusian side presented the export potential of the enterprises belonging to the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom and the Agriculture and Food Ministry. The Chinese side expressed interest in expanding the choice of imports from Belarus.
As part of the presentation of the industrial park’s potential the Chinese side suggested organizing a visit of representatives of local companies to Belarus and considering possibilities for investing, for setting up joint ventures in the fields of logistics, pharmaceutics, and biotechnologies. During the event attention was focused mostly on raising investments for machine tool construction, electronics, pharmaceutics and on facilitating the arrival of cutting-edge Chinese technologies.
This format of interaction with the Chinese side will continue in cities of China’s Greater Bay Area. The Greater Bay Area is an area of accelerated economic and innovative development in China’s south.
