MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – In October Belarus posted its highest annual commodity export levels ever recorded in 2022, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
In October, the export recovered and grew by 3.5% (plus $123 million) against September 2022. In addition, export levels reached a record $3.6 billion in October this year, which is above the average export level of 2021, one of the most successful years in terms of foreign trade.
The largest increase was generated by investment goods which export rose by 5.4% over September, the supply of intermediate goods inched up by 3%, that of consumer goods increased by 2.7%.
In January-October, the surplus in foreign trade in goods was $0.4 billion, up by $1.9 billion year-on-year.
