
MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin met with Alexei Kudrin, corporate development advisor at Yandex, to discuss the prospects for the application of the company's advanced technologies in artificial intelligence in Belarus, BelTA learned.
“I associated Yande with a taxi service least of all,” Aleksandr Turchin emphasized highlighting the company's AI capabilities.
The key initiatives discussed at the meeting were the possibility of launching unmanned transportation between the capital and satellite cities, the introduction of robotaxis in Minsk and a car rental equipped with a driver monitoring system for those who want to earn additional income as a taxi driver.
“Yandex is one of the world's leading technology companies, including in the field of artificial intelligence. Thanks to the friendly relations between our countries, interaction within the Union State, we can do more in the interests of Belarus and Russia,” Alexei Kudrin said.
“We have found approaches. First of all, we talked about the transportation in its various forms taking into account the improved safety, the use of artificial intelligence, convenience for people. We have found a common language and will move in this direction,” Alexei Kudrin told the media after the meeting.
