GOMEL, 16 November (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko assessed the production and export potential of the Gomel Chemical Plant as part of his working trip to Gomel Oblast on 16 November, BelTA has learned.
Visiting the company were also Gomel Oblast Governor Ivan Krupko and Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Vladimir Grakun.
Chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim Andrei Rybakov and Director of the Gomel Chemical Plant Dmitry Chernyakov reported on the situation at the company, including current production, market diversification and development prospects.
The prime minister got familiar with the production of complex mineral fertilizers, visited the sulfuric acid shop No.2, the central control panel, the fertilizer blending unit of the complex mineral fertilizers shop. The director of the enterprise dwelt on processes of packing and loading of finished goods, the assortment in general.
Gomel Chemical Plant is one of the leading enterprises of the country's petrochemical industry. It is the largest producer of phosphorus-containing mineral fertilizers in Belarus. In January-September 2022 the company produced 184,300 tonnes of phosphate fertilizers, up 10,800 tonnes or 6.2% year-on-year.
On the whole, Belneftekhim meets all the key performance indicators this year.
The prime minister is also set to visit Gomselmash as part of his working trip to Gomel Oblast.
