MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – We are planning to expand the list of regional projects within the framework of the One District, One Project program, Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar told the media before the meeting of the Council of Ministers on 20 November, BelTA has learned.
"We have already implemented almost 50 projects within the framework of the One District, One Project program. We see positive dynamics by the end of the year. What is most important is we will not end this program. The government is reviewing the list of projects. It will be expanded to include over 40 new ones. The number of new jobs under these projects will amount to almost 11,000," the minister noted.
The main point is investment, he said. "Today we see an accelerated growth of this indicator. Just a month ago the growth rate totaled to 107.6%. Currently, it has already exceeded 108%. The main thing for us is the quality of the investments. We notice an increase in investments of our enterprises in machinery and equipment. Rapid modernization contributes to manufacturing of competitive products and their export," Yuri Chebotar emphasized.
