Belarus, Oman consider prospects of expanding business ties

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) - Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov has met with Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation Hamoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwayh at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BelTA has learned.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of expanding business ties between enterprises and organizations of Belarus and Oman, cooperation through the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, the possibility of exchanging business missions, participation of enterprises in exhibitions and fairs in the two countries, including the involvement of honorary consuls in this work.
The parties expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in intensifying interaction between the business communities of Belarus and Oman.

Mikhail Myatlikov invited the business circles of Oman to visit Belarus, especially timing it to one of the major international exhibition and congress events held in Belarus, such as the international specialized exhibition Belagro, the Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum, the International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies TIBO. He also expressed readiness of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to organize the business program of the visit.

Hamoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwayh emphasized the interest of Omani business in cooperation with Belarus, particularly in agriculture, dairy industry, and IT. He also suggested that Belarusian business representatives consider the possibility of participating in investment projects of Oman's Vision 2040 development concept.
