MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Nicaragua plan to cooperate in animal husbandry and agricultural education. This topic was discussed at a meeting between First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Sergei Fedchenko and Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry of Nicaragua Edward Francisco Centeno Gadea, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
“The parties discussed cooperation prospects in agriculture and agreed to promote cooperation in animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, agricultural education, and to exchange best practices in crop production,” the ministry said.
In addition, Belarus would like to buy raw cane sugar, coffee, cocoa beans and semi-finished fruits from Nicaragua to produce baby food.
