Belarus, Myanmar thrash out plans to expand cooperation

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam with concurrent accreditation to Myanmar Vladimir Borovikov met with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Than Swe in the city of Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The parties discussed an extensive cooperation agenda. “They agreed to resume political consultations between the foreign ministries, confirmed readiness to elaborate the legal framework for cooperation and discussed practical aspects of providing consular and legal assistance,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

Vladimir Borovikov also met with Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn to discuss ways to ramp up trade, including through organizing mutual visits of business delegations.
