Belarus-Latvia intergovernmental commission to convene in Minsk

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – Minsk will host a meeting of the Belarus-Latvia intergovernmental commission on cooperation in economy and science on 2 October, Ambassador of Latvia to Belarus Einars Semanis told the media at a Belarus-Latvia seminar on 24 September, BelTA has learned.

The commission is headed by the Belarus and Latvia transport ministers, the diplomat informed. The previous meeting was held in Riga in September 2018.

Ambassador Einars Semanis welcomed positive trends in the trade and economic cooperation between the countries. Logistics, transport, pharmaceuticals, and oil products supply from Belarus are among important areas of cooperation.

Einars Semanis is confident about good prospects of Belarus-Latvia cooperation.
