Belarus-Latin America forum to be held in Moscow on 28 June

MOSCOW, 23 June (BelTA) – A Belarus-Latin America forum will take place in Moscow at the Business and Cultural Complex of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia on 28 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.

“The purpose of the forum is to present Belarus' export potential, establish professional contacts and exchange views on the progress and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Latin American countries,” the press service said.

The event is to be attended by representatives of the embassies of Latin American countries based in Belarus and Russia. These are ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions and other diplomats from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador and El Salvador.

Belarus will be represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov, Belarus' Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko, Director of the National Center for Marketing and Price Study Nikolai Borisevich, Director General of the Belpharmprom holding company Sergei Kazakevich, Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim Concern Vladimir Sizov, a representative of the Industry Ministry.

“The speakers of the forum will tell the audience about the state and prospects of Belarus-Latin America relations, trade and economic opportunities and proposals for Latin American partners, the potential of the Belarusian pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries and cooperation with industrial enterprises of Belarus,” the diplomatic mission added.

The forum has been organized by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study in association with the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
