
MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Belarus is keen to supply equipment to Uganda in the shortest possible time, and provide full-service maintenance, Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said as he met with Moses Kiwaaluuko Kizige, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda to Belarus with the residence in Moscow, the Belarusian Industry Ministry’s press service told BelTA.
The minister noted that the meeting followed up on the negotiations and agreements reached during his February 2025 visit to Uganda as part of a government delegation. Discussions with Uganda’s ministries of industry, trade, agriculture, livestock and fisheries had explored cooperation opportunities, particularly in supplying a wide range of equipment produced by Belarusian enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry. The meeting included an in-depth analysis of potential deliveries of comprehensive agricultural machinery and equipment.
In this context, Andrei Kuznetsov reiterated Belarus’ readiness to expedite equipment deliveries alongside service support. “Belarus’ Industry Ministry always honors its agreements and seeks to develop them into long-term partnerships,” the minister emphasized.
Ambassador Kizige confirmed Uganda’s strong interest in industrial cooperation with Belarus. “We view Belarus as an industrial hub for equipment supplies and see significant potential for technology exchange,” the diplomat stated.
The talks marked a key step in strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to implementing outlined plans to boost industrial capabilities in both nations.
